All public elementary and secondary schools in Highlands County are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and children in the Highland County School System score above the national average.
Higher Education
Eestablished in 1965, South Florida Community College (SFCC) serves more than 19,000 residents of Highlands, Hardee and DeSoto counties. Its 228-acre main Highlands Campus is located in Highlands County, Florida with 3 additional satellite campuses located throughout South Central Florida. SFCC offers its students with a multitude of quality and unique programs to meet today’s challenges.
Sebring
